The Old Schoolhouse - oil on clayboard

I have had this clayboard lying around for quite awhile and I brought it with me to Dolores' farm yesterday. I was attracted to the old building they use for a garage and Dolores informed me it was an old schoolhouse that her husband's father had moved here when they were planning to demolish it. Her husband, who looked to be about 70 years old, had actually attended school in this one room building when it was part of the "Pike Public Schools District" An interesting history but what I liked right away was the building's character.
